A film about cardiac arrest in sports/football

Following the tragedy and impressive recovery of Damar Hamlin, on behalf of The Last Whistle’s team, we wish Damar all the best.

In making The Last Whistle, which is a film about sudden cardiac arrest, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and other SCA incidents in football and other youth sports, we learned firsthand just how prevalent sudden cardiac arrest can be, especially in youth sports.

It’s our hope that as our nation learns more about sudden cardiac incidents that films like Last Whistle can continue to facilitate the discussion around heart conditions, heart health, and proper emergency response.

Working with the American Heart Association was a great joy throughout this experience, and their team of specialists speaking at the premiere of The Last Whistle was equally as helpful. It’s our hope that with continued work with AHA and other heart groups, we can save lives, improve patient outcomes, and make our fields of competition as safe as they can possibly be.
